2013 has been a very exciting year for Top Roof Marketing! As a result of adding many new clients who use Conklin’s roofing products, Jonathan Keim (owner of the company) is traveling 750 miles from Ohio to attend Conklin Roofing Systems Training next week in Kansas City, MO.

No, we’re not going to start getting on the roofs ourselves.

We felt it was important that our company understands the Conklin roofing products inside and out in order to better market the services of our clients. From the very beginning our focus has been on being the best. When it comes to marketing, the first step is thoroughly understanding the product and that is the main purpose of this trip.

The team here at Top Roof Marketing has done extensive research and invested countless hours to better assist the Conklin commercial roofers already, but getting hands-on training and meeting Conklin representatives in person will no doubt take our service to the next level. We’re very excited to learn more about the Conklin company while getting the chance to meet some of our clients.

A brief overview of Conklin, a leading producer of acrylic roofing systems.

As many in the commercial roofing industry know, Conklin is growing rapidly as more and more contractors switch over to their products and roofing systems. None of the competing manufactures we’ve seen offer the benefits or the history of innovation Conklin brings to the table. We fully expect the company’s fast growth to continue for years to come, and accordingly made it a priority to learn all we can.

Expanding the company is another reason for our trip.

This week Jonathan will be taking extensive notes during the various training sessions to share with the rest of our team, but there is actually more to this venture. Sam Hostetler, a Conklin Master Contractor and client, will be working closely with Top Roof Marketing next week. Notably, he drove all the way from Montana to personally meet Jonathan as well as discuss an expanded business relationship.

Sam owns Five Star Roofing, a commercial roof services company that serves the states of Montana, North Dakota, and Idaho. He supports a network of thirty commercial roof contractors who exclusively use the Conklin roofing systems products. Although very successful, Sam never felt any of the marketers he worked with in the past completely understood and/or cared about his business and the Conklin difference.

Big expectations for the rest of this year and years to come.
Ever since getting our first Conklin client, Top Roof Marketing’s growth has quickly accelerated through referrals. This year we are on track for a record year and would not be surprised if our number of clients triples over the next 12 months. As always, we will keep customer service our top priority and continue to do whatever is necessary to achieve maximum results for our clients.

Gone are the days when press releases were only issued to spread news and make public announcements. Today, they have emerged as a potent tool at the hands of marketers, who can use them to build brands, increase exposure, and most importantly, to garner new leads and business. But how can commercial roof contractors use press releases to the benefit of their businesses? Here are a few ways in which press releases can help.

Boost visibility: In the digital era, people prefer to look for service providers online or on local media, so it is important that every business owner, including a roof contractor, maintains a fair amount of visibility. By sharing your company news with the online audience, you manage to get seen and heard, which can work wonders for your business.

Wide reach: Press releases tend to travel far and wide. People love to share news with their friends and associates. So, if a commercial roofer has announced through a press release that he now has a technology that can help repair roofs more effectively and quickly, then chances are that the news would spread, and he can get a number of new leads.

Competitive edge: Businesses that keep their potential customers informed through press releases are looked upon as experts in the industry. They certainly enjoy a competitive edge over other players in the industry. A roofing contractor that consistently distributes press releases to share business and industry news, or his expertise, would certainly outshine the competition.

Lead generation: Press releases are a great way for small business owners to generate fresh leads. By using social media sites for bookmarking and syndicating press releases, commercial roofing contractors can increase targeted traffic and business leads.

Cost effective: The best thing about using press releases for marketing is that it is quite inexpensive. It is far cheaper than using other marketing techniques such as paid advertisements.
So, we can safely conclude that press release as a marketing technique does work, but you need the services of a professional who can write effective press releases and post them at the most appropriate places.

You may be one of the best roof contractors in your state, but writing and submitting press releases? Odds are it is better to leave public relations to the professionals. Just pick up your phone and call 800-795-2187 to speak to one of us today.

In the last couple of decades, the internet has revolutionized the way we socialize, conduct business, interact with our customers, and look for information. The era of yellow pages is long gone. In this digital world, every business, whether small or large, has to have a web presence. Having a website is no longer just an option that you can do without; it has become vital for your business growth and survival. Even for commercial roofing contractors that are just starting out, there are enough credible and compelling reasons to have a website. Let us have a look at them.

Boosts visibility: A website makes you visible to millions of people online. There is no other way you can reach out to such a huge audience. It is quite obvious that a commercial roofer who has a readily accessible online presence is more likely to get more business than the one who is not.

Market expansion: Your website can help break all geographical barriers, and reach out to a diverse market segment. A roof contractor might be very popular in a particular neighborhood, but how about targeting the entire region in one attempt?

Great first-impression: When someone comes looking for a roofing contractor and ends up at a well-designed website, he is likely to get impressed. With that great first impression, the chances that you will bag the contract become high.

Competitive edge: Many commercial roofing contractors already have their websites up and running, and if you are still pondering over whether to have one or not, then you are losing out on time and opportunities.

Round-the-clock customer service: With a website, customers would never get turned away by the “Closed” sign at your door. You will have a 24/7 customer service center providing all required information to potential customers.

Improve credibility: A website offers a commercial roofer an opportunity to tell customers why he deserves their trust and business. It lets them share their strengths and competencies with the potential customers.

Two-way communication: Websites are a great way for commercial roofing contractors to interact with their customers. Customers can leave their reviews, suggestions, or just get in touch with the team.

A website can leave a lasting impression on your potential customers, so why not make that impression great with a well-designed, professional website. Our marketing company specializes in helping commercial roofing contractors land more jobs; no one else in this niche has more experience and expertise than we do. Our team can help take your business to a whole new level.

Internet marketing has surely taken the world by storm, but this does not mean that the traditional marketing methods have lost their sheen. Direct mail still remains one of the most popular and effective marketing methods. It is particularly effective for commercial roofing contractors that need to reach out to a specific market segment in a more personalized manner.
It is believed that the chances of a direct mail receiving a response are 30 times higher than that of an e-mail. Let us talk about some benefits that a roof contractor can expect from direct mail marketing.

Personalized communication: Direct mail lets you communicate on a more personal level with the audience. A commercial roofer can get the communication designed as per the preferences and needs of the target segment.

Targeted approach: Direct mail lets a roofing contractor communicate with a specific target audience. You can select a specific location as well as specify the size of buildings targeted to get the right customers.

Versatile: A commercial roofer can use brochures, leaflets, flyers, or even catalogues for his direct mail marketing campaign.

Tangible: Direct mail gets delivered straight to the client’s doorstep, and the chances that it would get looked at are extremely high. If it is appealing and interesting enough, then it is likely to stay at the client’s desk reminding him of your business, and whenever he needs a free moment, he will call you up.

Easy to execute: Our professional designers can create amazing direct mail concepts that grab attention. Because we specialize in marketing for roof contractors, all you have to do is tell us what to focus on and we’ll take care of the rest.

Results can be easily measured: The results of a direct mail campaign can be easily measured. The number of responses you receive, and how many of them get converted into potential business, can be measured with little effort.

Tried and tested: Direct mail is an age-old marketing technique, which has been extensively used by both large and small businesses. It has helped numerous commercial roofing contractors expand their business and increase sales.

Sounds great? Let Top Roof Marketing execute your direct mail campaign from start to finish, and get ready to enjoy the many benefits of targeted marketing. To get started, call us at 800-795-2187 today.

We cannot emphasize enough how important it is for a roofing contractor to have a website. However, just having a website might not be enough, especially if you are expecting some serious business gains. It is important that the website is well designed, user friendly and interactive.

Your website is the face of your company, and how that face looks is completely in your hands. A commercial roofer can choose to get the website designed from professionals, or do it himself, but the results and effectiveness would differ significantly. A poorly designed website can do more harm than good to the reputation and business of a roofing contractor. Here is how a professional website can make all the difference to your brand and business.

Aesthetics: The first impression can easily be the last impression, and that especially holds true in the case of websites. Poorly organized content, unimpressive images and wrong selection of colors can ruin the look of your website. Keep in mind that it only takes the web visitor a simple click to go back to a list of search results and chose a competing service provider.

Functionality: A website has to be more than just text and images put together on a page. It should allow users to interact with the website owner and offer some add-on functionality such as an online quote. For example, the website should allow the visitor to enter his requirements in order to quickly capture a new prospect.

Better brand image: Your website strongly reflects your brand image. A professional website can do wonders to your brand image by reflecting your core values, skills, and vision in an effective manner. This is important not just for large businesses, but for one-man-show roofing contractors as well.

Improved search engine visibility: Your website would not attract much traffic if it is not visible to the search engines. Keep in mind that you are not the only commercial roofer serving the area. There would be many other commercial roofing contractors with their websites already up. Only a professional website, optimized for search engines can get you top rankings for free website traffic.

Cross browser compatibility and bug-proof: This is the biggest benefit of having a professional website rather than a DIY one. The last thing that a visitor wants on a website is the error message, and this problem can be countered by getting your website professionally designed. The website would work well on all browsers, and would be free from bugs.

Low maintenance: A do-it-yourself website would require the business owner to spend a lot of time and effort on maintenance. On the other hand, a professional website would not give you any trouble, and the maintenance would be carried out by the professionals.
